High Five for Friday

This week has been a little emotional for us as a family, and tomorrow we will be laying to rest my grandma. I'd like to focus on the good things that happened in the past week today, even as we go through this tough time.

1. Juliet had her first 4th of July last Friday. She got to go to her first parade, and we had family over for a laid back cookout. It really was a wonderful day. And how adorable is she in her little outfit?!

2. My baby also turned 8 months on Monday. Time really is flying, and looking back at all my photos I just can't believe how tiny she was and how fast this time in my life is going. I miss the newborn quite a bit some days, but I'm so excited to go through all the "firsts" with her.

3. We got our first big haul from our garden this week! It's our first garden and we definitely have a learning curve for next year. I'm very happy with what we have been able to get from the garden so far, though!

4. I've slowly gotten my house more and more organized. Have you seen my DIY Storage Boxes? Working on those this week has really helped in organizing my closets. I'm sure I will get everything organized right before we move someday!

5. I'm hoping to tackle my office this weekend after everything slows down around here. I'm planning on implementing some of the ideas I posted here, and also from my Office pinterest board.

I'm linking up again with Lauren from The Lauren Elizabeth, head over to check out what other bloggers have been doing this week!

  1. Hi Caitlin! I obviously had to stop by since we spell our name the same way. Very cute picks from the 4th! :)

    1. I was just thinking that, you don't see it spelled like ours too often :)
