A 12 Week Fitness Challenge

I've posted a few times in the past, but I've really been motivated to get myself back into shape after Juliet. For that matter, I really want to get myself into better shape than I was before I got pregnant.  I'm hoping to be strong and healthy, without trying to focus on my weight as much.

To be perfectly honest, Juliet will be 10 months on September 7 and I've hit a plateau the past month or two. I can tell I'm toning up a bit but my weight hasn't changed and my clothes aren't fitting that much better. It's frustrating when I'm working out 5-6 days a week.

And then I found Maria Kang on Facebook. I remember when her photo went viral and there was all kinds of comments about it but at the time I wasn't pregnant and not super interested in being healthy.

No Excuse Mom is starting a 12 week fitness and health challenge and it's just the thing I need to get jumpstarted off this plateau! The challenge starts on September 1st, costs $20 to enter,  and you can potentially win a large prize. To find out all the details and the rules for the contest, click here.

I'm planning on showing my progress and some of my clean eating meals throughout the whole process. I'd love to connect with others that are interested in doing something of the same nature!

Let me know if this something you are doing yourself, or if you have any tips for me starting a clean eating journey!

  2. I'd love to be more toned and fit too! I haven't had a baby, but sometimes (aka all of the time) a bowl of ice cream sounds way better than running. Good luck with this... can't wait to hear about your progress!

    1. Motivation is seriously so hard. Like right now, I'm drinking coffee during Juliet's nap rather than working out :) haha I've been doing decent self motivating, but I'm hoping this is even more of a motivation!

    1. That's what I am most excited for! The online community I just recently got involved in is SO awesome. Everyone is at different points but it's nice to have women doing the same things you are.

  4. Good luck! I highly recommend trying Weight Watchers. There's some free apps for your phone (like WW Diary) that allow you to do WW without paying for it.

    1. I will have to check that out! Before I got married I did the Lose It app, to help track what I was eating. I've been trying a new one call My Fitness Pal, it's just difficult in both to account for your nursing calories. Thanks for the tip :)

  5. I just checked out the link, I'm thinking of signing up but not too sure how strict I really want to be with meals. I may do it just to follow along, not too sure yet. I've been quietly making subtle changes and have recently lost 10lbs :) enough that even my hubby has noticed. Can't wait to see your progress!

    1. That's great! I am going to try to eat as clean as possible, but we've been changing what we've been eating slowly anyways. I like that it says you can have at least 2 cheat meals a week, I think that'll be helpful. We're going to try our best, but I know it'll at least help me better keep on track!

And 10 lbs is a huge deal! Congrats :)
