High Five for Friday!

Welcome to H54F hosted by Tif at Bright on a Budget, Katie at Cup of Tea, Della at Della Devoted and I. We're so excited to have you here today!

Our featured blogger this week is Anne from Anne in Residence. She's blogger friends with our co-host Katie, and I'm so looking forward to getting to know her more and read her blog! Make sure you stop by and share the love.

1. If you missed out earlier this week, I am heading back to school this summer! I am so excited about getting on with a new career path of nursing and it feels like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders. I've been in limbo land for a few years now, and finally deciding on a career shuts down that nagging little voice in the back of my head.

2. Juliet went on the potty yesterday! Now I realize that this is only interesting to those few readers/bloggers that have little people too. I also know they are probably the few that would understand that I'm pretty bummed that I was at work when it happened. Oh, the things you never thought you'd be excited about until you became a mom.

3. I found the most wonderful old window at an antique shop in town. It has the quote "Be still and know that I am God" and it's the perfect addition to our living room. Now if I could just get my husband to hang it up for me...

4. I am working on meal prepping to try and make our lives a little more simple. I LOVE cooking, but really only at dinner time and I want to have healthy stuff easily available for other meals. It's definitely baby steps right now. My fave meal prep this week? Overnight oats! Check out my Instagram for the recipe.

5. Were finally putting in our tile flooring into the laundry room this weekend. Do you see a pattern with our projects here? Yes, it seems to take about 10 times longer than we originally planned. Today I will be busy getting the rest of our laundry done so we don't have to move quite so much stuff out of there. Stay tuned on Instagram and social media for pics!

Be sure to check out yesterday's (late!) post with a little bit about what is going on with us and why the blog hiatus was necessary.

How has your week (and last few weeks) been? I'm excited to be catching back up with all of you!

    1. Thank you! It' super exciting but a little nerve wracking. I've never been a student with others depending on me.

Meal prep is such a great thing, I'm hoping to get better at it! I'm all gung ho and then get burned out.
