High Five for Friday!

Welcome back to another week of High Five for Friday with Tif, Della, Katie and I!

This week's featured blogger is Tiffanie from Terry's Go Round. She's got the two cutest littles, and I just love their names! Make sure to check out her lovely blog :)

1. First and foremost, it's time for Katie and I's Tis the Season Mug Swap 2015! Yay yay yay! I've already been looking at cute little mugs to get some inspiration. Check out yesterday's post for more info.

2. My (not so) little baby girl will be turning two tomorrow. I still can't wrap my head around it. Didn't I just finish planning her first birthday party? Didn't we just bring her home? This year has been crazy and sad and frustrating, but having her has made it all bearable and watching her grow has been the most heart wrenching and exciting thing I've ever done.

3. 12 bags! That's how many trash bags full of junk I've gotten rid of. We've been able to donate nearly all of it, which makes me feel better about it. Seriously, if you haven't read The Life Changing Magic of Tidying Up, you need to! I haven't done it exactly as she explains, but it definitely has helped me know what I really need and what isn't necessary anymore. I'm really trying for simplicity.

4. The bathroom reno is nearly finished. It looks soooo good and Jay really has done a wonderful job. It's an extremely small, but it's now a very cheery room. I will be sharing next week!

5. I haven't been speaking much about our journey to healthier living, but I'm  really cracking down on the amount of plastic we are using, and I'm going to try a naturopath the help with our recurrent miscarriages. It's been a lot of research, a lot of sacrificing, and a lot of changes but I'm feeling really good about the path that we are taking as a family. Regardless of the outcome, I know it's right for our family.

How has your week been? I'd love to hear!

  1. Definitely checking out the mug swap and going to see if they have that clutter book at the library. I started to look for things for a garage sale but I've paired down a lot and everything I have left I want to keep! It'd be nice to get a different perspective. Have a great weekend!

  2. Thanks for the sweet words and the feature this week :) And I'm also in the process of doing the tidying up! I need to finish reading the book, so I haven't dove in much yet, but I did purge my clothes and that was eye opening!

  3. Enjoy celebrating your little girl's Special Day tomorrow!! :) Way to go on simplifying and donating so much stuff! I did a lot of that over the summer and could really do without a lot more. It is so freeing to declutter and keep only the things that you use/enjoy. :)

  4. Loving that bathroom color!! Can't wait to see the finished product! :)

  5. Happy birthday to Juliet! Your bathroom is looking good! You must be so excited! Good for you to be simplifying. I have been on that journey for the past few years. I have to read that book. Have a lovely weekend!

  6. Get Hard Again Review

The word, Electrolytes, has become a household word because a lot of people are familiar with all the currently popular sports drinks, but when you are sick, sugary drinks are the last thing your body needs. How do you build up your electrolytes? Wait. What ARE electrolytes and what is so important about electrolytes?
